Fifty years after the Apollo space flights, a new generation at NASA are suiting up for a historic return to the Moon. Named after Greek mythology’s goddess of the Moon, the Artemis program has trailblazing ambitions: a woman will step on the lunar surface for the first time and remain on the moon for up to a week. This longitudinal series for National Geographic will give viewers an all-access pass to this group of pioneering astronauts and their colleagues, documenting every effort, ambition, sacrifice and breakthrough first step.

Since 1979, C-SPAN has been broadcasting Congress and all the conventions, conferences, campaign events, hearings, history, and books that can fit into 24 hours across three channels. Unedited and sacredly non-partisan, this nonprofit is the cleanest lens on our American experiment; its phone lines, the great public square. The best part? They recorded all of it. C-SPAN was born at the dawn of cable and built on bipartisan investment and an unyielding faith in the American people. Today, journalism is in crisis. How will America’s most trusted network adapt while staying true to its mission?
